About Our Services
Minor Surgery & Joint Injections at Clinic Visjeune
At Clinic Visjeune, our private GP offers a carefully selected range of minor surgical procedures and joint injections for patients in Bournemouth and the surrounding area. Rather than claiming to treat every condition, we focus on the procedures we carry out well and safely.
Every patient is assessed individually before any treatment is agreed. Not every lump, lesion or joint problem will be suitable for treatment at the clinic — and where another approach or referral would be more appropriate, we will explain your options clearly and honestly.
All procedures are carried out in our fully equipped, CQC-regulated clinic using sterile technique and strict infection control protocols. Where appropriate, removed tissue can be sent for histological analysis.
Minor Surgery
Minor Surgical Procedures We Offer
We commonly carry out the following minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic. Suitability depends on the size, location and clinical assessment of each individual case.
Mole Removal
Moles can be removed for cosmetic reasons or where there is a clinical concern about their appearance. We assess every mole carefully before proceeding and can arrange histological analysis of the excised tissue. Removal is carried out under local anaesthetic.
Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags are small, benign growths that can be removed quickly under local anaesthetic. Multiple skin tags can often be treated in a single session, subject to assessment.
Cyst Removal
We offer surgical removal of selected cysts where clinically appropriate. We excise the cyst and its capsule to minimise the risk of recurrence. Suitability is assessed on an individual basis — not all cysts will be suitable for removal at the clinic.
Lipoma Removal
Lipomas are benign fatty lumps that can be removed surgically under local anaesthetic where clinically appropriate. Suitability depends on the size and location of the lipoma and will be assessed at consultation.
Joint Injections
Joint Injections in Bournemouth
Our GP offers joint injections for patients experiencing pain or reduced mobility in certain joints. Following an assessment, your GP will advise whether an injection is likely to be appropriate for your situation.
Steroid + Lidocaine Joint Injection
A corticosteroid injection combined with a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) can help reduce inflammation and provide pain relief in certain painful joints. This may be appropriate for conditions such as osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, or knee pain, following assessment by our GP.
Cingal Joint Injection
Cingal is a single-injection treatment combining hyaluronic acid with a corticosteroid. It is designed to provide both immediate and longer-lasting relief for joint pain, particularly in the knee. Suitability is assessed on an individual basis.
